Each morning Sæmark selects the finest fish from its associates and from markets around Iceland. The selected product is then processed and packed for dispatch abroad via Icelandair Cargo. A contract between Sæmark and Icelandair Cargo ensures daily transportation of fish to our customers. Sæmark also ships fresh and frozen products abroad with the Icelandic shipping companies Eimskip and Samskip.
Sæmark was established in 1985 as a subsidiary of the Icelandic Freezing Plants Corporation. In 1999 the holding company turned to export of frozen seafood exclusively and Sigurður Björnsson created Sæmark Seafood Ltd.
Sæmark Seafood provides it's loyal customers with top quality products, the finest and freshest fish available, and excellent service with flexibility and expediency. The company has developed a strong business relationship with major entities in the Icelandic fishing and fish processing industry.
